At Bayview Oxwich we’re so lucky to have a world-class restaurant right on our doorstep. And this year, 2026, Michelin starred Beach House Restaurant Oxwich celebrates ten years of outstanding success.
In 2016, Head Chef, Hywel Griffith, had a vision for a restaurant where he could take his diners on an unforgettable food journey. Taking an outstanding beachside location, a friendly and unpretentious ambience, the best of in-season local Gower produce, and the magic of his culinary creativity, he has done just that!
We were wowed from the start with the outstanding menus, locally caught fish and shellfish, organic meat reared on Gower’s wonderful pastures, and fresh vegetables and herbs provided by local farmers. In the years since 2016, an increasing number of guests to Bayview Oxwich have come not only for our first-class luxury holiday rental accommodation, but a restaurant just 5-mins walk away that has attracted glowing accolades and foodies from all over the UK.
It didn’t take long for Hywel and his Team to win awards and in October 2026 they again achieved the prestigious Michelin star which they have retained in six consecutive years ever since 2020. This is a huge honour and translates the ever-changing attention to detail of the Beach House Restaurant dining experience and the constantly evolving innovative and delicious menus.
To celebrate ten years at the top, the Beach House Restaurant has a mouth-watering feast of culinary events on offer during 2026. From guest celebrity chef-nights, wine nights, and other events including Welsh rugby legend, fresh from Celebrity MasterChef success, Alan Wyn Jones, to a specially curated 10-couse tasting menu celebration dinner on Thursday 4th June and Friday 5th June, it promises to be a great year.
