As a family with three young girls of our own between five and eleven years of age, whenever and wherever we go on holiday we always ask ourselves: “What is there to do while we’re there?”

Gower Coast Adventures is an environmentally-friendly, sustainable and high-value boating adventure that offers new perspectives on the Gower coastline on board Sea Serpent, a 10.5 metre rigid hulled inflatable boat with a fuel-efficient 315hp turbo engine.
Since 2003 Sea Serpent has been operating two-hour trips which set out just a step away from us at Bayview from Oxwich Bay, treating twelve lucky passengers (minimum age 3) to guaranteed comfort, safety, sensitive wildlife observation and the thrill of the sea breeze on the face.
Our girls love it. We’ve been on numerous occasions between beginning of May and end of September with experienced skipper and owner, Dave Tonge and his qualified team at the helm offering intimate insights into the diverse landscape of Gower along with fascinating history and stories of the Red Lady of Paviland cave, ruthless smuggling and the abundant wildlife to be seen up close and personal.
The children have been captivated by the myriad of sea life seen in the clear coastal waters off Gower. Firm favourites have been the Atlantic Grey Seals, Harbour Porpoises, Common Dolphins and the array of sea birds, including Gannets, Shags, and Terns which call the cliffs and ledges of Gower home. Dave has even spotted the elusive leather-backed turtle, so if you’re very lucky you might see this too.
