Perriswood Archery & Falconry Centre – A Great Gower Day Out

Our holiday rental properties at Bayview Oxwich cater for couples, families and large groups of friends who often book a combination of our luxury apartments and contemporary cottages. Now with the exclusive retreat Little Haven @Bayview in our portfolio, you can also sleep 13+ under one very lovely roof.

Whatever the size of your group, or whatever the reason for your stay (perhaps a wedding, or a birthday or anniversary celebration, or just a holiday) we know that visitors to Gower are always looking for a day out that’s that extra bit special and guarantees a great experience for the young and the young at heart.

Having tried it ourselves with our 3 girls (15, 13 and 9) and listened to the feedback of our guests who’ve done the same, and read the positive 5* reviews on Trip Advisor, we’re happy to signpost you to Perriswood Archery & Falconry Centre in Penmaen. The Centre is just a 5-min car drive from Bayview and offers a range of activities, indoor and out, throughout the year and whatever the weather. You also get a location that has the most amazing view out across Oxwich Bay.

The family-run enterprise promises a made-to-order ‘Experience Day’ for small and large groups and parties of all ages ranging from just half-an-hour in duration to a full day. The Centre is open 7 days a week (expect Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day).

Here you can try your hand at country pursuits including archery and falconry. There are 38 resident birds of prey and the Centre arranges ‘Hawk Walks’ and encourages interaction with these wonderful birds.

They seem to be doing things just right at Perriswood, with visitors going back time and time again – perhaps in a different season or perhaps when the weather is different. This is endorsed by what people say such as “they know their stuff”; “They’re very knowledgeable”; “the owners have plenty of time for children to ask questions and hold the birds” and, importantly, the Centre has, “healthy and happy birds.”

To read in more detail of what the Centre Offers and how you can tailor-make your day out, please visit www.perriswood.com. The website also has details of how to book, how to get there and information about the craft which is also on site. And also, take a look at Trip Advisor which has almost 500 wonderful reviews to get a flavour of what is possible on this day out with a difference in Gower.
