Before the emergence of COVD-19, Visit Wales had designated 2020 as the ‘Year of Outdoors’ – to reinforce what Wales has to offer in terms of adventure and culture in the great outdoors. This designation seems very timely in light of the current situation and the ‘new normal’.

It’s been a long and hard five months for everyone during lockdown and at Bayview, Oxwich it’s great to finally have some good news to share. We are delighted to say that the Welsh Government has given the provisional go-ahead for our range of luxury self-catering holiday rentals to reopen from 13th July, 2020.

Though we have been sad not to share our range of luxury holiday rental properties with visitors, the situation has provided the catalyst for us to discover the wealth of quality local food suppliers right here on our doorstep in Gower.

During these challenging times of lockdown, many people have turned to bread-making for all sorts of reasons. After all, there’s nothing like the aroma of freshly-baked bread in the kitchen to give a feeling of comfort and reassurance.
New holiday rental properties are back on track at Bayview, Oxwich
Though Bayview remains on lockdown to guests for the foreseeable future, we are glad to say that construction work on our three brand-new, detached eco-friendly holiday rentals is now back on track.

We’re sorry that we’re not open for business as normal here at Bayview. Like tourism destinations across Wales, the UK, and the world, our doors are locked to visitors for the time being. And it’s not the same without you. We miss you!
Local Gower Food
During these uncertain times, at Bayview we’re still open for business – our luxury apartments with private entrances, having been deep-cleaned and disinfected. What is amazing is that many of our wonderful local Gower food and beverage producers, artisan bakeries and restaurants have been delivering direct to the doorstep at Bayview.

We can’t deny it doesn’t rain here in Gower and this winter we’ve had more of our fair share as has the whole of the UK. But the upside is, being so close to the sea, it’s mild and so green. At the moment it looks as if everything around us has been rinsed clean and ready for spring.
