July Jamboree in Gower, and Swansea our city by the sea
There’s a real summer buzz and vibe this July in Gower and Swansea, our lovely city by the sea. But nothing sums it all up as well as the word ‘jamboree’ to capture the fun, spectacle, shared excitement and festival atmosphere that this month brings to locals and visitors alike.
From innovative art exhibitions to established music festivals and from physical fitness challenges of heroic proportions to daring displays of balletics in the air, it’s all happening. At Bayview Oxwich, we have our favourites, as do our guests (those returning and those staying with us for the first time) so here’s a taster to whet your appetite:
Gower Festival (29th June – 12th July)
2026 is a very special year for this wonderful festival as it’s 50 years since the festival has brought music and art of the highest quality to Gower and Swansea. The festival sees a wide and exciting programme of events in Gower’s ancient and atmospheric churches. Expect to see and hear internationally acclaimed artists, classical music, jazz, big bands as well as poetry and visual arts in these very special settings.
