Three Cliffs Bay, Gower in Top 50 Beaches in Europe
At Bayview Oxwich we’ve always known that our very own Gower peninsula beaches are some of the best in the UK, if not the whole world. But now the well-kept secret is out and one of our most beloved bays, Three Cliffs Bay, has been ranked for the first time among the TOP 50 beaches in Europe in TimeOut UK’s official list for 2025. We can’t say that we’re not super-proud that it was one of only 4 beaches in the UK to make this prestigious list.
Three Cliffs Bay has a special place in our hearts – and those of our guests to our luxury holiday rental properties – as its aptly named Three Cliffs are visible from Bayview Oxwich, providing an iconic vista from most of our properties. In fact, the Three Cliffs are so dear to us, that they are the very fabric of our now well-loved Bayview Oxwich logo.
Evaluated across many criteria, Three Cliffs Bay made the list collated by over 1,000 travel professionals, because of its ‘natural beauty, a sense of tranquillity, and a place that sparks an almost emotional response.’ We can vouch for that. With its three distinctive limestone cliffs, its sprawling sand dunes, not to mention a salt marsh, it is loved by visitors and locals alike.
If you’re relatively energetic, you can walk from Bayview Oxwich (take your 4-legged friends if you like, too) across the flat, sandy Bay at Oxwich, via Crawley Woods, Tor Bay until your reach Three Cliffs. Keep an eye on the tides! Otherwise, you can drive 10-mins and park in the car park at Parkmill, though you’ll still have to walk approximately 400m from the car to reach the sandy bay. But it’s well worth it.
